DESCRIPTION:Day 1, June 21: Departure and First Stop in France\nWe depart promptly at 8:15 AM from the Van der Valk Hotel in Stein. Please arrive by 7:30 AM to allow for luggage loading and a welcome briefing, during which your seat number for the entire journey will be announced. Switching seats is allowed, as long as the driver is informed of the change, and this will be communicated to our insurance provider.\nTravel Info: Our first stop is in France at the Novotel in Macon Nord, located about 700 km away. After approximately 2.5 hours of travel, we will take a 15-minute break. The next leg of the trip will be a 45-minute rest. The journey complies with driving time regulations.\nWe expect to arrive at the hotel around 6:15 PM (hotel check-in). We’ll meet for dinner at 7:30 PM, where we’ll enjoy a 3-course meal. Afterward, the evening is free for relaxation.\nDay 2, June 22: Heading to Barcelona\nPlease be at breakfast by 7:30 AM, as we’ll be having a French-style breakfast. We depart promptly at 8:30 AM to continue our journey to Barcelona. This 700 km trip will include several short stops along the way. We expect to arrive in Barcelona around 6:00 PM.\nOnce in Barcelona, we’ll dine at a nice restaurant at the end of Las Ramblas, and after the meal, you’re welcome to enjoy a quick walk along the famous street. At 8:15 PM, we will gather at the bus to head to Montjuïc, a 213-meter-high hill offering breathtaking views.\nAt the National Palace’s Plaza, we’ll visit the Magic Fountain and enjoy the light show before gathering at the bus at 10:00 PM.\n\nFerry Ride to Mallorca: We will embark on a ferry at 10:30 PM, which takes about 7 hours. After clearing customs and passport control, you’ll receive your cabin key. Get a good night’s rest; around 7:30 AM, we will arrive on the beautiful island of Mallorca.\n\nInfo: Mallorca is an island of 3,640 km² with a population of approximately 850,000, of which more than half live in the capital Palma. The island is also anything but flat, the island has two mountainous areas, each with a length of approximately 70 km. The highest point of the island is the Puig Major, with a height of 1,445 meters. Now we are going to start visiting all the beautiful things the island has to offer.\nDay 3, June 23: Arrival on Mallorca\nAfter a quick breakfast at Porto Christo, we’ll visit the famous Drach Caves (Cuevas del Drach), where you’ll explore magnificent limestone caves and enjoy a small boat concert on Martel Lake, Europe’s largest underground lake.\n\nFollowing the caves, we’ll visit a pearl factory in Manacor, where the renowned Mallorca pearls are made, and an olive wood factory.\n\nAround 1:30 PM, we’ll check into our hotel, Helios in Can Pastilla. The rest of the afternoon is free for you to explore Can Pastilla. In the evening, we’ll enjoy a barbecue for San Juan, a traditional celebration in Mallorca, where locals gather to celebrate on the beach.\nDay 4, June 24: Exploring Mallorca’s Interior\nAfter breakfast, we head to Alcudia’s famous market, wandering through narrow streets dating back to the Arab period. We’ll continue our journey through the inland, visiting Pollenca and hiking up to the Formentor viewpoint for a spectacular view. Afterward, we’ll have lunch in Pollenca before visiting the Lluc Monastery and returning to the hotel around 6:00 PM.\n\nDay 5, June 25: Palma de Mallorca\nWe have a quieter day today. After breakfast, we depart for Palma at 10:30 AM. Once there, we’ll split into two groups for a guided tour: one group will take a shorter route for those with limited mobility, while the other group will explore the longer route.\n\nPalma Info: We’ll visit La Seu Cathedral, an iconic Gothic building that took 400 years to complete. We’ll also see the Bellver Castle with panoramic views of the harbor and the Gordiola Glassblowing Museum, where we’ll watch artisans at work. Finally, we’ll end the day at Alorda Winery for a tasting.\n\nWe expect to return to the hotel by 4:00 PM.\nDay 6, June 26: Mallorca’s East Coast\nToday, we head to the east coast. After breakfast, we depart at 11:00 AM and visit Cala Figuera, followed by Colonia Sant Jordi. Along the way, we’ll stop in Santanyi for a demonstration on how to knot fishing nets. We’ll also stop at a lighthouse with views of Cabrera Island, the smallest inhabited island of the Balearic Islands.\n\nIn the evening, there is an optional dinner show (€60 per person).\nDay 7, June 27: Free Day\nThis is a free day for you to relax and enjoy Mallorca’s sun, beaches, or surrounding areas.\nDay 8, June 28: Valldemossa and Deià\nAfter breakfast, we depart at 9:00 AM to visit the famous Valldemossa Monastery, where Chopin once stayed. The scenic drive through the Tramontana mountains will take us to Deià, where we’ll make a photo stop near actor Michael Douglas’ villa.\n\nWe’ll return to the hotel by 4:00 PM.\nDay 9, June 29: Soller and Sa Colabra\nToday’s trip takes us to Soller, passing through almond and olive plantations. Once in Soller, we’ll visit the historic town and then head to Sa Colabra, where we’ll explore the Torrent de Pareis gorge. Depending on conditions, we may visit by bus or boat.\n\nWe return to the hotel by 6:15 PM, and after dinner, it’s time to pack your bags.\n\nDay 10, June 30: Return to Barcelona\nWe leave the hotel at 10:15 AM for the ferry port in Palma, setting sail for Barcelona at noon. Once in Barcelona at 7:15 PM, we drive to our hotel, the 4-star Calella Palace, arriving around 8:15 PM.\nDay 11, July 1: Malgrat de Mar and Calella\nAfter breakfast, you can choose to join a guided tour of Barcelona for €12.50 or explore Calella or Malgrat de Mar on your own. If you prefer, you can take a walk along the beach or enjoy a scenic stroll through Pineda de Mar.\n\nDay 12, July 2: Return to France\nWe begin our return journey at 9:00 AM, heading back to France with breaks along the way. We will arrive at the Ibis hotel in Nuits Saint Georges by 6:45 PM for dinner and an evening of relaxation.\nDay 13, July 3: The Final Leg\nOur last day of travel begins at 9:00 AM, departing for Neufchâteau. After a photo stop at a small dam in Goncourt, we’ll head to Neufchâteau to see the Jeanne d’Arc statue. Afterward, we continue to Bastogne for our farewell dinner at Chalet Royal, departing at 5:00 PM. We’ll arrive back at the Van der Valk hotel in Stein around 6:00 PM, marking the end of our wonderful 13-day Mallorca adventure.\n\n
